The Developer’s Story
Prior to visiting Saratoga Beach for the first time in 2014, I was unaware of the beach and its beauty, which is unmatched on the eastern shores of the Island. As a lover of all-things-ocean, I had become a frequent visitor to the Island’s Westcoast but found the trip to be long and sometimes even impossible due to weather events.
I found a 3.1 Acre lot which was available at the very spot of the long beach that has more of the fine white sand that Saratoga is famous for than any other spot. I fell in love with the beach on that first visit and bought the lands shortly thereafter. The location is perfect: Away from it all but yet only 1.5 hrs from the Nanaimo ferry and 30 minutes from skiing at Mount Washington.
The next question was what to do with it? What could we design that would fit in with the natural beauty of the beach and the area?
The Resort Takes Shape
After various feasibility studies we engaged an award-winning architecture firm and set up our team to develop a Fisherman’s Wharf-meets-contemporary design and layout that would ensure elevated, unobstructed view lines to the ocean from all units, coupled with several large outdoor decks to fully enjoy the outdoors.
The public approved of our designs:
We pre-sold all 30 units in less than 45 days in the summer of 2021 and started construction that same fall.
As I love cooking, the kitchen is stocked with everything you could possibly need.
Pacific Breeze
Pacific Breeze (Unit #2) is a south-facing unit (all-day sun) with an amazing ocean view. It was outfitted with three large decks, high end appliances including a gourmet gas-stove, a large gas fireplace in the living room, two full bathrooms with heated floors, a powder room, and an outdoor fire bowl on the main deck. It has three large smart TVs so you can enjoy movies and for your kids to play their games while you while away the evening or go for long beach walks.
The deck has a Weber BBQ Grill and a fire bowl with blankets so you can stay warm while star-gazing or watching the Alaska cruise ships go by.
The main bedroom has a king size bed with a luxurious memory foam mattress, the second bedroom has a bunk bed that accommodates three children or one child and two adults.

Both bedrooms have their own full en-suite bathroom.
